Généralités
Un tuyau est un élément de section généralement circulaire destiné à l’écoulement d’un fluide, liquide, gaz ou solide pulvérulent, sous pression ou non, éventuellement par gravité. Le tuyau peut être souple ou rigide et appartient généralement à un réseau. On peut citer l’adduction d’eau (eau de ville, eau de pluie, eau grise), la distribution d’énergie (eau/vapeur pour chauffage ou refroidissement), distribution incendie, assainissement (descente d’eau de toiture, eau usée, égout enterré, drainage…), réseau de distribution de combustible (mazout, gaz…), aspiration centralisée, fontaine et arrosage…
