Objective and deliverables
This involves delivering the digital mock-up and associated deliverables to the client, in accordance with the client’s requirements. The project manager or contractors are responsible for updating the information (models and other deliverables) in accordance with the Owner’s requirements. The deliverables to be generated are the plans and all the documentation required to compile the as-built file.
Processes to be implemented
In accordance with what has been described during the two construction phases, the EPC and the companies must jointly and according to the contractually defined responsibilities :
- Update models that have not yet been updated
- share information on the implementation of their respective works on the CDE (installation date, warranty dates, technical data sheets, maintenance instructions, etc.)
BIM Management responsibilities :
The BIM Manager is responsible for approving the information (models and other deliverables) prior to delivery, taking into account the delivery requirements and acceptance criteria that are contractually binding between the Owner and the design/construction teams. In this way, the project owner is spared the risk of delivery refusal by the client (via the Information Manager’s checks). If necessary, the Information Manager can deem the information delivered to be non-compliant
and request the necessary adjustments.
